Milan

Milan is with a population of about 1.3 million people the second largest city in Italy and the country's centre of economy, design and media. The city is one of the world capitals of fashion and famous for its opera, La Scala and its Gothic cathedral.

Milan is situated in the Lombardy in north Italy and is surrounded by the rivers Olona in the west and Lambro in the east. It is the partner city of Frankfurt am Main and shares its image as a culture metropolis and shopping paradise.
