The Regional Park Rhine-Main serves as a place of recovery for the population of the densly populated urban centre Rhine-Main. It includes the open space between the settlements and offers room for the experience of scenic beauty and culture.
The Regional Park Rhine-Main is shaped by extensive greens and parks, crafted lanes, nature reserves, viewpoints and long cycle ways.
The Main-Cycle-Way processes through the whole Regional Park, beginning at the source in the Fichtel Hills to the debouchure into the river Rhine. Approximately 500 kms are signposted and allow to get to know the whole region.
