Saalhof Chapel
The chapel is the oldest room in Frankfurt, having remarkably survived the bombings of the 2nd World War while most of the Saalhof was severely damaged. The simple Romanesque chapel was probably built late in the 1100s during the reign of Emperor Friedrich Barbarossa. Today the Saalhof Chapel is, like the rest of the Saalhof, an integral part of the Historical Museum Frankfurt.
